STRANGER SOUNDTRACK

I know I’m seriously late to the party and spare seats on the bandwagon are scarce but I’m finally here…I’ve watched Stranger Things and like everyone who demanded I watch; I love it!

The writing, the acting, the visuals, everything.

Unsurprisingly, the music made it for me. From tense instrumental build ups from composers Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein to some classic punk rock in the form of The Clash. Since watching, I’ve preordered the soundtrack on vinyl and can’t wait to listen to it once it arrives.

I fell completely in love with the soundtrack as soon as I heard Peter Gabriel’s cover of my favourite song of all time, Heroes by the iconic David Bowie. The stripped back version of this song makes it beautiful and eery at the same time sending chills down my spine as the song takes on an almost different meaning following the death of Bowie.

The series also includes music from other brilliant artists such as Jefferson Airplane, Toto, The Clash, Joy Division, Echo & The Bunnymen and Moby.

WHAT A PLAYLIST!

Pot Kettle and Black but…if you haven’t seen Stranger Things; stop what you’re doing and go watch it now!! No, seriously…stop reading this and go watch it!!
