BRITISH SUMMER TIME 2018 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Only a day after touting the Queens Of The Stone Age & Friends festival as being 2018’s hottest ticket, we find that the fourth headliner and latest list of names has been unveiled for the annual British Summer Time concerts in Hyde park and it’s a hall of fame list. With previous names like The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Kings Of Leon and even the late Tom Petty having played this stage in recent years, it’s never a disappointing line up and this year so far, a truly eclectic bunch have been announced already ranging from Michael Buble to Bruno Mars and even Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, however it’s this fourth wave of the announcements that has turned some heads.

The 8th of July 2018 will see Eric Clapton, one of the greatest guitarists in history and a master of the blues, take to the Hyde Park stage in front of thousands, and just imagining that sound play out across London is an exciting experience already. However, if you want to really talk about greatest guitarists of all time, you can continue to complete the shortlist by looking straight to the other acts announced for the 8th of July as we also see Santana, Steve Winwood and Gary Clark Jnr on the very same line up. For fans of classic rock n roll and the more guitar based music, this is a dream line up and not one that we ever expected to see in one place. What’s even better is that there’s more to be announced, and you better believe we’ll be anticipating their next move. Well played BST, well played.
